So who is “we”
Well it’s just me actually. I’m Toby, I’m a software engineer by background. When I finished my computer science degree I stepped right out of university into the madness of the iPhone app store being released. I was building jailbreak apps before the store, and rode the app wave when the store was released. Building over 50 apps for clients like Dreamworks, Time Warner, and Kraft Foods.
I saw the power of a new distribution channel opening up, and now I’m seeing it again with AI.
For the last 9 years I’ve been part of a venture studio building technology startups. They’ve all got founders who are hustling to get the business off the ground, and they’re all seeing AI search opening up as a channel.
I started Geodde to help those founders get the early advantage from AI search.
Wait, so it’s just you?
Yep, solo founder. I build product, talk to customers, fix bugs, use my product myself, do marketing, etc etc.
For you this means a few things:
- I know your pain. I’m using Geodde on myself to try to get ahead on this new channel.
- I’m targeting your market. I’m not VC backed and needing to focus only on the enterprise customers with big contracts. I’m building for the scrappy underdogs.
- I will find it hard to bullshit you. There’s a lot of companies in this space making wild claims and showing data that doesn’t really mean much. It’s hard for me to look you in the eyes (on a video call) and do that.
